Jasper is the worst character on the show plain and simple.

The Biskits they are hit or mis characters. Sometimes they can be badly written and be annoying, other times when they are well written, they can be hillarous and awesome character.
Jasper on the other hands, sucks all the time. If the Biskits are hit or mis characters, Jasper is a mis character. He should be written off the show. He should take Sue with her off the show, Blythe and Youngmee has become a great tandom, Sue and Jasper don't fit into that dynamic.

Jasper on the other hands, sucks all the time. If the Biskits are hit or mis characters, Jasper is a mis character. He should be written off the show. I don't agree. There are a few things I like about him, I just think he needs to be more ... involved? I liked him particularly in Commercial Success, he instantly became more relatable to me as I've found myself in situations similar (though I wasn't acting that way). I almost always take on the artistic vision of projects I do at school and mostly things just happen to revolve around it or the visuals become the center of the project. But I make sure they don't mind and people always seem to appreciate what I'm doing. It's extremely pleasing to have that much flexibility as an artist. Jasper just took it too far instead of just working with what he had. I guess I should relate more with Minka, but I'm not an abstract artist and I'm a pretty analytical person. Plus she's my least favorite pet; But, I don't quite remember the other Jasper episodes before Commercial Success and I haven't even started S3
I don't think there's any "worst character" of the show; but there are a few characters I find annoying sometimes - Like Blythe and/or Bistkits because their plot can be plain and uninspired sometimes, especially since the focus is often fashion. I know some people say art/music/etc. is "life", but that's just a huge lie because all art is composed of life. - I want to see more aspects of her other than fashion or rather I want to see more thought put into designs, perhaps another "meaning"? I know fashion/art are different forms, but it'll make me happy to see more creativity with the fashion aspect of the show
He should take Sue with her off the show, Blythe and Youngmee has become a great tandom, Sue and Jasper don't fit into that dynamic.
I assume that's because Youngmee is her best friend. I hope they do more interaction between Sue, Jasper, Youngmee and the pets - kinda like how Blythes interacts with them. Maybe they need more character development and one-on-one time with Blythe.

I don't hate Jasper. I didn't mind him in Commercial Success, it's just that he was being far too much of a jerk until the end. If any one of Blythe's friends should get written off it's Sue. We don't see that much of her and what we do see I just don't like. Jasper adds variety to the growing female human population in Downtown City which I like, and he's usually not written that badly. I suppose they never try much with him, but what I see is good.
What I do hate though is how Blythe has to constantly cover up how she can talk to animals. It's not like it's going to get her into any trouble or anything, and I already feel that Sue/Jasper/Youngmee actually know that she can and she doesn't need to hide it. (But then again all you really need to do is fall down a Dumbwaiter to get that power anyway so I don't know why on earth Blythe hasn't forced them down anyway) Jokes aside, I like Jasper.
I like Jasper in the two episodes he actually shown plot relevance in, anyway.

For the record, I may not like Jasper much, but I certainly don't hate him. The main reason most people don't like Jasper isn't really because of the role he took in Commercial Success, it's that he's usually very socially inept and ends up pissing off the other characters. Commercial Success just happened to multiply that trait of his by a hundred.
But I do think it's possible for him to redeem himself if he acts less smart-assy and actually tries to be productive and helpful toward Blythe and the gang. They could probably make him a technological expert or something.

People aren't blind, so it'll be kinda realistic if one of her friends stepped up and noted how she has a relationship with the pets that go beyond the average pet/owner. At least they can assume she's a "psychic" or "has a way" with them. And if the others could hear the pets.... How much fun that would be! The humans could actually have a relationship with the pets instead of assuming they're not intelligent enough to understand. Roger comes to mind Do it for Roger, writers, do it for Roger...
Anyways, I think it could be a real + for the show, if it's not overdone.

The thing is, it's not just her ability from birth. If it was, she would've known about it much earlier unless she hasn't been in contact with animals at all.

The thing is, it's not just her ability from birth. If it was, she would've known about it much earlier unless she hasn't been in contact with animals at all. Maybe so.. but it would be one of many things to improve this show greatly, besides giving characters who need it actual development so they can stop being hated upon just a tad, IMHO. Besides, think of the awesome relationships and intelligent enough writing that could blossom if this opportunity is taken up that this show could benefit from. As for Jasper - yeah, I get what they were going for with Blythe having a diverse chain of friends, but that doesn't work when only a small fraction, or worse, none of them have actual development, as well as traits (unique or not), to make them stand out positively, aka make them likable. Characters like him who get such hate makre you wonder why Blythe and those stupid twins aren't friends, when they almost should be (even though I hate those 2, but it might just improve some... SOME issue with them that I feel are ruining this show for me!).

If you argue this point on Tumblr, you'd automatically be called a racist and discriminating on black people.
I'm going to say this here, I really love Jasper. Not because he's black, not because it'll prove I'm not racist (I'm not white), but I genuinely like him as a character. IMO, I would rank it Youngmee > Jasper >>>>>>>>>>> Sue.

He's black? I always thought he was a desi... www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDJM3s34puc...I'm not sure if people are just avoiding the issue or can't see the color of his skin. Even the quote on my Youtube video, it's a reference to black stereotypes. If anything, Sunil would be a Desi. They have Jasper to make cultural diversity in the show. Sue and Blythe are white, Youngmee is Korean, Jasper is black. Sunil is Indian (Like me). Vinnie is a Pacific Islander. Paris, Rio, China, Pet Fashion Expo.

I always thought Jasper as latino. Maybe he is half latino and half black, so kill two birds with one stone for two dempgraphic.
Well to all the Jasper haters out there, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this week's LPS "Two Pets For Two Pests", he's back. Though he has no lines, he doesn't even interact with Blythe like Youngmee who also had no lines. So he is kind of back, when he has some line, than I can truely say "he's back."
I can't wait tell he is fully back, I have some great bits planned to mark the occasion.

I'm not sure how that video proves Jasper is black ... I've never seen watermelon associated with the black stereotype. Seems kinda far-fetched to me. I agree, it'd be good to have him mixed latino/black.

I still think he's desi. The only trait he has that suggests "black" is his dark skin. Everything else about him appears to be caucasian which is why I believe he's desi. People of the indian subcontinent are actually caucasian, believe it or not. That's why they look more like "white" europeans than africans if you set aside their skin color. In case anyone's interested in learning the details, you can check out this article: robertlindsay.wordpress.com/2012/03/12/are-the-people-of-india-caucasians-yes/
