Many Hasbro shows, including Littlest Pet Shop, are being taken off Netflix on Feb. 2nd.

"You’ve got two weeks to prepare your kids for it: Netflix could be removing kids shows from Hasbro / Discovery from its streaming service at the beginning of February, according to reports from USA Today and the New York Post.
Shows like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Littlest Pet Shop, Transformers Rescue Bots and Transformers Prime will disappear on February 3 unless the two parties strike an eleventh-hour deal, which seems unlikely, but not totally out of the question. A Netflix spokesperson declined to comment on negotiations between the two companies, but a Hasbro spokesperson sent me the following statement:
It’s worth noting that some movie titles with the same characters, including My Little Pony Equestria Girls, will remain on Netflix either way, as they are not covered by this deal.
Netflix regularly removes shows and movies as content deals expire, and occasionally brings back content that briefly went off the platform. But while Netflix subscribers have by and large gotten used to this dance, it’s a different story with kids shows altogether.
Last year, all hell broke lose when Netflix ended its contractual relationship with Viacom, forcing the company to remove popular kids shows like Dora the Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants and Go Diego Go, with hundreds of our readers complaining about ruined birthday parties and broken little hearts."

"Fans of My Little Pony, Transformers and Jem and the Holograms: Hurry up and stream.
Netflix is dropping kids shows produced by Hasbro on Feb. 2, when their current contract ends, after failing to come to terms on new agreements. "Bronies" everywhere will surely revolt, but G.I. Joe, Pound Puppies and Chuck and Friends are also coming off the platform.
The streaming site dropped Nickelodeon shows in 2013 for similar reasons, and Nick shows later showed up on Amazon Prime Instant Video.
"Netflix has such a broad set of content that no one vendor accounts for a significant amount of viewing on a consistent basis," spokeswoman Jenny McCabe says.
But Netflix has made an aggressive push into kids programming with DreamWorks Animation and several other original series. And its agreements to stream My Little Pony: Equestria Girls and Transformers Prime movies aren't part of the current Hasbro deal and will remain available."

"On the day the groundhog may or may not see his shadow, one animal Netflix subscribers will no longer be seeing is My Little Pony, as Discovery will be pulling much of its children’s content from the streaming service on February 2, reports The New York Post.
It seems the same types of contract negotiation deals that are plaguing traditional TV land are nearly as abundant in streaming video land as more and more services fight for the cable cutting customers.
In this case, since the two could not come to an agreement, Netflix subscribers will be losing access to all Discovery/Hasbro content, including MLP (oh, the Bronie nightmares!) as well as Transformers: Rescue Bots, and tons of other nostalgic kids fare. A few titles, however, may still remain, such as the movie My Little Pony Equestria Girls and Transformers Prime. Still, it’s just not the same.
The deal, it seems, fell through because of pricing disputes that couldn’t be resolved. In addition to a battle over dollars and cents, the Post notes that Discovery may actually be looking to develop its own streaming service to distribute the content. A more likely scenario, however, may be that Discovery inks a deal with a competitor – most notably, Amazon Prime. After all, Viacom did just that back in 2013, jumping ship from Netflix to Amazon and Hulu Plus.
No word, however, on what bearing this move might have on how many more weeks of winter we must endure."

"Don’t cry kids, but most “My Little Pony” shows are flying off Netflix.
The subscription streaming service is set to lose most of the popular kids show plus a host of kids TV series from the Discovery/Hasbro stable on Feb. 2.
The content getting yanked at the Discovery deal expires also includes most of “Transformers: Rescue Bots.”
The two sides failed to reach an agreement on a new rights deal.
The kids content, which had aired on the Discovery/Hasbro joint venture network, The Hub, now re-branded Discovery Family, leaves Netflix with kids’ content from Disney and DreamWorks Animation.
Viacom had yanked its content from Netflix in 2013 after finding a more suitable deal with Amazon and Hulu Plus.
A Netflix spokesperson confirmed a handful of the Discovery TV titles would expire but added that the service still has some movies that aren’t part of the deal, including, “My Little Pony Equestria Girls,” and “Transformers Prime.”
Discovery Communications boss David Zaslav said he was ready to make a deal with Netflix for the return of other cable shows from networks — such as Investigation Discovery — but only at the right price.
The TV giant is said to be examining the launch of a possible over-the-top service to get the content out to a kids audience.
The shows could end up on both an authenticated basis for those with a pay-TV subscription and also to those who just have broadband, a source said.
Such a move would be a first for Discovery in the US.
Discovery could also make a deal with Jeff Bezos’ Amazon Prime streaming service, which is currently offering a free 30-day trial for non-users.
Amazon Prime customers — who pay $99 a year for unlimited free shipping — get the streaming video service for free.
Amazon has been gaining increasing attention thanks to its Golden Globes win for “Transparent,” and an unprecedented deal with Woody Allen for a new online series."

We know today’s audiences watch content on a number of different platforms and we are deeply committed to ensuring that the people who love our shows have access to them anytime and anywhere they want to watch. Hasbro Studios programs including My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Transformers RescueBots are currently available on numerous broadcast and streaming platforms around the world. We are extremely hopeful that we can continue to offer our highly rated, award winning programs to Netflix U.S. subscribers.
It’s worth noting that some movie titles with the same characters, including My Little Pony Equestria Girls, will remain on Netflix either way, as they are not covered by this deal.
