So yeah when did you become a fan of LPS personally for me even though i've been watching the show since it first premired on The Hub I didn't become a fan until shortly after I got done watching a LPS Youtube marathon on January 10, 2013 of all the episodes that have aired so far at that time.

I watched a recording of the show premier soon after it was first uploaded to Youtube. I was already anticipating it with all of the talk going on about it before it actually aired, but I wasn't expecting a godsend to be granted by the first episode. I just thought the show was cute after the 2 part pilot, but I have a considerate idea that I should watch at least four episodes of a show (excluding the pilot(s), usually) if I'm giving it a shot. I watched the new episode the week after that, and thought it was alright, but I wasn't quite prepared to assume that this show was going to be substandard. Then, Gailbreak happened. Duuuuuude.

I watched a few episodes on YouTube the week before Bakers and Fakers aired. I quickly became a fan after that. Fittingly enough, that episode is how I eventually came up with my user name.

Well, this may be a little tl;dr, but I began my journey as a fan after the first few episodes had already aired. That's the official version. unofficially, I was already interested in it from the early promos, but just forgot to watch it when it aired; shame on me.
I am one of those MLP fans that used to be a Brony, and heavily followed after the fandom, the fan-art and the fan-fiction, but there were several things that had seemed to happen within the MLP fan-base that made being a Brony harder to justify. The in-fighting, the hypocrisy and the constant bombardment of NSFW Wars had left me to be more or less a fan in name only. My fan-fiction was pretty much the only thing that kept me in the fandom.
When Littlest Pet Shop aired, it was what I perceived as a fresh start. A way for me, and maybe others to take what we had learned from the MLP fandom and be better for it. Not that I'm saying all aspects of the MLP fandom are bad, or negative. But I myself had seen too much negativity within it. I wanted a fandom that didn't need to justify a new show, a new fandom, or a new motto.
When I created Pet Shop Daily, it was intended to forever be a place that openly accepted the fans and the community of LPS. I didn't want to be one of those tyrant types that hid behind a massive hit-counter and endless submission guidelines squelching the creativity of the fanbase.
The one thing I never expected to encounter was the sheer hatred for LPS from the Brony community. I imagined that they above anyone else would understand the trials and tribulations of getting a new fandom off the ground, and understand the fires that we all went through begging and pleading for people not to judge us or our new favorite show. That it's beyond genders, and ages, and stereotypes.
I know that LPS is a young small, and slowly growing fandom. But I see much more potential in the Pet Shopper community than has been shown lately in the MLP fandom.
I've made it my goal to nurture and help progress this new fandom as far as I can. I've helped to establish communications with the creators and voice actors, driven community involvement on DeviantArt, FimFiction, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter, and countless non-lps forums across the internet. I created a "Littlest Pet Shop Booru" for safe images, so the fans have a place to show off their work, and I've been in constant communication with sponsors from actual Pet Groups and animal organizations to bring a sense of realism to the community.
Sadly, I've been met with a lot of shut doors in my face. From the Bronies, and the competition. In fact, on one facebook group, the mere mention of PSD will result in the topic being deleted, and the member possibly banned, and these are fellow LPS fans.
I'm not saying all this to toot my own horn. Just to show the dedication I am willing to put behind this community, because I believe in it so strong. I think we have the makings of a great fandom, and I am proud to stand behind all of its fans, to the end; however short or long that is.

Very nice story also I like Pet Shop Daily better than Thepetshopinsider even though fan sites are both good fansites.

The local cinema played LPS ads for years ago.
My interest for the show began some weeks before the show where I found a screenshot I thought was a My Little Pony crossover fanart back in the autumn.

Does anyone other than me remember the 1995 show? The only thing I remember about it was the horse's name was Chet.

Interesting story, David-ism. I really hope this fandom grows as well (just not as big and ridiculous as the brony fandom). Anyway, I got into LPS as a boredom killer while waiting for season four of MLP to come out. Turns out I liked LPS better, and I'm much more active in the fandom. Plus I love the LPS fandom. I love how we're so small and at a fresh start.
