I don't really write fanfic, but you guys are really cool. For some reason you make me want to try making things to show you, so I'm attempting to write one, just for fun. I've started a little bit. Maybe I can post it as I go or something.
Sunil the magician
-Part 1-
Blythe woke up to the sound of birds chattering to eachother with little greatings such as:“Hello Tanfeather how was your night”, “Brightbeak found some cottonballs to add to the nest!” “So have you had any good worms lately”, “Tuftett finally learned how to fly”, and the like. Blythe had long gotten used to her mornings starting this way and, after a brief period of loosing her gift while sick, she wouldn’t have it any other way. She got dressed, prepared her bag, brushed her teeth, and climbed into the dumbwaiter to say hello to the pets before heading off to school.
As she lowered herself down into their playroom she noticed what sounded like a bit of a fuss. She got to the bottom and walked out only to have Vinnie bump into her scurrying by with a dish of water. Flustered, the little gecko looked up and Blythe after falling on his back. Seeing that her skirt was dripping with water he began to apologize.
“Ah… it’s okay I suppose, but now I have to change and hope I’m not late to class,” responded Blythe as she noticed several other pets zipping here and there carrying various objects to Russle’s command. To her surprised though Sunil was standing next to him, and also calling out orders.
There was an excited yet nervious tone in his voice as he shouted out, “please place that over there, no no that doesn’t look right, maybe over here. Or do you think right there would look better? What do you think Russle?”
“What the hey has gotten into everybody, and what's with Sunil?” Blythe asked looking towards Vinnie who had gone back to trying to carry the water bowl across the room.
“Ah, Blythe!” called out Sunil “I have wonderful news, just look at this postcard! Oh I know you will enjoy meeting them!”
“Them? Who exactly is them?” questioned Blythe as her eyes turned to the postcard. She took the postcard out of Sunil’s paw and read it out loud, “To whomever has been hosting Sunil while he is in America, we thank you dearly for this act of kindness. We truly hope you and he are doing well. We wish to inform you that we will be visiting on the date of June the 13th and if it is not too much trouble hope that someone can be there to meet us at the airport. The flight should be arriving around 12 PM your time. We greatly look forward to seeing his progress. Sincerely Sundha and Ajamil Nevla”. “Huh, hosting Sunil? Sundha and Ajamil? Who? Sunil, are they your siblings or something?” she asked.
“Oh no, I am an only child. Sundha and Ajamil are my parents! I am giddy with excitement at the thought of seeing them, though I’m also afraid of what they’ll say if everything at the petshop is not in a suitable order. Also as you can see from the letter, I need a way to pick them up at the airport, tomorrow of all times! I have almost no way to get ready, and I know I couldn’t find my way on my own to the airport,” Sunil explained sounding a bit worried. “I was looking for the first chance I could to talk to you about this, though I know you are almost late to school,” as he mentioned this he looked like he felt a little guilty for keeping her.
“Ah, school! Not good, I’m definitely going to be late!” Blythe exclaimed, “also their flight arrives while I’m in my classes. Um, well I’ll think about it while I’m at school today and talk to you as soon as class is over!” With that Blythe rushed up back to her room to get a dry skirt to put on.
