I'm actually reading those Twilight books to see if they really are as bad/good as people say. The whole concept to begin with wasn't my favourite. I'm halfway through the first book. Not really sure what to think...

I'm actually reading those Twilight books to see if they really are as bad/good as people say. The whole concept to begin with wasn't my favourite. I'm halfway through the first book. Not really sure what to think... The last book I read was one that I finished on June 24th. Stephenie Meyer's The Host. It is way better than Twilight and only vaguely similar in themes. It has very unique narration and story-telling. Just ignore the widely-panned movie that came out this year. So if Twilight and/or it's sequels disappoint you, don't assume The Host will. It is a fascinating story that delivers! |

I've been meaning to read "Catching Fire" by Suzanne Collins for almost 2 years now. I've read "The Hunger Games" nearly 3 times and I need to make time to start reading the second book because I want to finish it before the movie comes out.

I've read "The Hunger Games" nearly 3 times and I need to make time to start reading the second book because I want to finish it before the movie comes out. The HG series is great. I do highly suggest it. Along with Mockingjay I never though I'd enjoy kids in my age range killing each other, but my friend offered me the book. I read one page and said 'Nah!' later we had to read it for school, and I fell in love with it. I actually bought the other two. |
