I think we should be able to make blog posts on this site either that or make something like a mini blog type thing similiar to what you can do on Everypony.com.

I've used Proboards for about four years now, and even with the new V.5 update there isn't a means to allow members to have a blog... it may be something that could be made as a plug-in later on if a coder wanted to tackle it.
The best thing for the time being is to create a Blogger or Wordpress account, and link to it in your signature with your updates.
