I'm sure we can all agree that they're are several characters from Season 1 that we would like to see return in Season 2 personally I want to see more Gail Trent, Madame Pom, Scout Kerry and Sugar Sprinkles anyway who would you like to see return in either Season 2 or a later unconfirmed Season?

I think it might of been on purpose. If you knew it it made a laugh. If you didn't t wasn't a big deal. Some shows do that. They also make the character have some slight resemblance to the actor sometimes.
