I think at this point it's becoming more and more likely with each appearance he makes, especially after 'Back Window' which fleshed him out more and elevated him to the point where he's almost at 'close friend' status. Even if he doesn't become Blythe's boyfriend, I still think he would make a good 'best friend #2'.
However, I still think he's a bit of a gary-stu. The first episode alone made him an expert skateboarder, bookworm and music band performer all in one, and throughout the past few episodes we realize he's also a math expert and soccer captain. I bet the next appearance he makes will reveal him to be a black belt or something. It's fine if they want Josh to be a model love interest for Blythe, but they need to avoid making him too good for her. It's time they started exposing a few flaws or quirks in his character to ensure he's on the same level as Blythe and her friends. That scar under his left eye would be convenient for that.

I think they will get together, but I hope they get together at the end of the series. I really don't want to see such a bland character any anywhere in the foreground of the show.
I don't really like him as a character, but I liked his role in season 3 as Blythe's goal and motivation.
Even though I would rather see Blythe get together with someone with an actually personality, Having them get together in the final episode just to give a happy ending would be better than him becoming her boyfriend and a more prominent character for the whole of a season.

Even if he did it wouldn't really matter. He's a lifeless background character who wouldn't add anything to Blythe and more importantly, the pets.

Well they haven't made Josh as an important character, so he expendable as things stands now, so it is just as possible they can write him off and have him move away as much as they would put him and Blythe. They need to flesh out his character more, right now he is a Gary Sue boring character, Hasbro has a history of writing poor male love interests for their female cartoons, check in point Rio Pacheco a guy who came of as a jerk to me, hopefully he is not another Rio Pacheco. |
