Okay I got issue 1 today. I thought it was okay, some of it I didn't understand, like Blythe telling Penny Ling "don't let it go to your head". It was nice to finally have some new human extra character designs. The show reuses the same extras over and over again. And from the way it looked on their facial expression, looks like crazy Sue from "Russell Up Some Fun" is back.

Issue 2
After reading this, Youngmee went up in my character rankings. Even more than before, I want her to find out Blythe's secret. Tell her already Blythe, what kind of friend are you? A Yu Gi Oh parody, hillarous.
So the pets were worried about a coffee shop, it is funny how they mention LPs, and this time it is Blythe not the pets that is the fantasy. The pets influence are rubbing off on her. Nice twist

There are LPS comics? I didn't know this. I buy the MLP comics but haven't seen LPS. Are they also made by IDW?

Yup, IDW. The comic shop I go to has pretty much everything from IDW.

If I ever see the LPS ones I'll probably pick some up. I don't think they are very common, given I enjoy going to comic shops when I can.

I don't get the reference, sorry. On a side note your sketches are really cool ^_^

I don't get the reference, sorry. On a side note your sketches are really cool ^_^ Linkara, a comic book reviewer from That Guy With the Glasses (where the Nostalgia Critic did his reviews there), made a cameo appearance in that LPS Comic issue. His reaction of getting a cameo in a comic that could've been in MLP as a big series was awkward and unusual for those not big fans of LPS. He got an appearance from the Sonic the Hedgehog Issue #257 also, so this LPS cameo was meant to tie in the joke of having him do a review if he gets a cameo. He is that popular in the comic book community so it makes sense for him to get shout outs. Heh, fun ^_^ Thank you for explaining!

What are the LPS comic books like compared to the MLP comics?

I need to as well. I have the first two or three issues, but haven't gotten around to getting the rest.

I read the LPS comics less than a month ago one day. There are only five issues so far, and I have a hardcover collection of them still checked out at the local library.
Some of the stories are actually kinda lame and weird, and have a really sucky art style that is far too angular, with some situations that are hard to figure out what is going on.

I just finished the hardcover collection, and noticed something weird. It has 2 three page short comics, a neat little bonus for those who got the hard cover (at least I think it's exclusive to the hardcover). But what's confusing is for some reason the hard cover only contains issues 2-5 and completely skips the first one.
Why they would do this baffles me.
