How exactly do you get ahold of the episodes?
For me personally...
In earlier seasons of Littlest Pet Shop, I was living with digital cable and had access to what was then called the Hub Network... I think even with a DVR... but not a lot of fans get Hub, now the Discovery Family Channel on their TV.
For the second season, and for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, hubworld.com, the website of what was then the Hub Network generously provided new episodes the Monday or so after they originally aired, and kept them for two weeks, making it so that there were two recent episodes on the site at a time.
The video quality was 240p-ish, but you only had to watch one commercial at the beginning, and there was no requirement to have the Hub Network and link up with a cable provider like some other networks... or sign up for anything. Though, I always signed into my silly optional profile because I believe that it somehow helps them keep track of how many people of are watching/are into a show/collecting demographic information.
Well, now that Hub Network was rebranded to Discovery Family Channel... the whole educational/informational implications of it means that they are marginalizing the likes of MLP and LPS and so far haven't been showing the full episodes of this second half of S3, just "clips".
Oh well, I had a good run, and the three or four members of the LPS community have limited success with their uploads of episodes onto YouTube and even Dailymotion... "Winter Wonder Wha...?" just disappeared there. I'm surprised their accounts never get banned. Hasbro has a history of being lax about out in the open MLP piracy because it is such a merchandise driven show... but that luck is starting to run out.
I've depended on those Dailymotion or YouTube uploads from time to time when I missed a chance to watch an episode in an "approved" way.
I'm too scared to straight up download-pirate something like this... too virusey, and I just feel dirty permanently having an offline copy of something that people worked hard to create.
But now I am glad that I can finally afford to buy an iTunes card and I just bought the Season Pass!
I feel good about this. Now I can be absolutely certain I'll have access to these episodes in decent quality. (I did the $19.99 SD Season Pass for Volume 6)
But how have you guys been able to watch the episodes?
I like being able to watch this show and then go online and discuss it. I think that is worth 20 bucks for 13 episodes, to be a part of this small but close-knit fandom.)
