Don't think so, honestly. The only ship they're canonizing is Blythe/Josh, Shahrukh and Esteban were one-shot characters, and this IS a kids show, so I doubt they'd do male/male... It doesn't have to be a shipping thing. Just them meeting in cannon... Again, they were one shot characters...

Littlest Pet Shop is overall pretty entertaining and a good fanbase to be socially invested in.

I found out about this on DeviantArt less than two hours ago. Well... what if... what if... like, we buy one billion dollars worth of merchandise and redundantly buy every single available DVD in our region, and then volumes of the entire series so far on both iTunes and Google Play? Just, like redundantly buy a ton of stuff! Specifically merchandise of the canon characters on the show!
I would have liked to see more adult, men's shirts of this version of Littlest Pet Shop! You know, Hot Topic sort of stuff! Or sold even more widespread than that! Officially-licensed, so we would know that Hasbro would be making money from it and that would help fund the show! I'm not really getting any results from searching "littlest pet shop adult shirts" other than little girl kiddie stuff and really simple prints on a set of shirts and hoodies that don't even look officially-licensed based on the name or description.
To be quite honest, they never did make enough toys, plushies, and merchandise that had characters from the actual show. Search results for "Littlest Pet Shop" have always still brought up the weird, star-eyed, heart-eyed pre-November 2012 characters.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic made me spoiled somewhat with the character development, and Littlest Pet Shop did that somewhat also with episodes such as Door-Jammed, Josh episodes, various Biskit episodes, Standup Stinker (moreso for Minka), various Russell episodes, Madison getting character development.
I hope that they, with these final 26 episodes, somehow knock it outta the park. I don't know how realistic that would be for a show that was sort of spluttering out anyway. (financially at least. The television cartoon series proper was improving, and even the dud episodes have been leagues more fun than the boring-ass dud My Little Pony episodes.. in fact, the few crappy LPS episodes weren't even utter "duds", just sorta weird)
At least I know that at some point I made some sorta financial contribution, buying the season pass of second half of Season 3 on iTunes back in December, which gave me episodes until March.
It just... I know that 100 episodes (more like 94 regular-sized episodes and five double-length, one-long-story episodes, if the post that claims both the premiere and the finale will be two-parters, which will be a first for any one season in the series)
... that 100 episodes is a lot for any cartoon these days, or for any time in cartoon history, but... it feels like the show just started recently! I wonder if everything can be wrapped up pleasantly in 22 regular-sized episodes and 2 two-parters.

I tell you the truth, MLP raised its game with this week's episode, now the ball is in LPS court, first Gravity Falls, than MLP, now they have to turn the Biskits good or else they are just not going to be seen in the same light of these other shows. At the very least the Biskits.
One of the things I have said to defend the Biskits to the haters, is they are not as bad as Diamond Tiara, now that arguement is dead, so come on writers do something with them. Granted what I saw in the season 3 finale, the LPS annual comic, and the short, they are taking them in the right direction, but at a very snail pace, you need to pick the pass on the development here.

WE SHOULD BE VERY WORRIED ABOUT THIS I'm not so worried if they make it better than this one and it doesn't have Blythe and humans to ruin it. I just want them to keep the same 7 pets and give them actual development.

I have an example of what LPSFAN757 means. You know how MLP had a generation 3...and now it's generation 4 What it basically means is all the old characters will be gone and replaced with new one's
.....I'm not happy about this

Generation shifts don't always cycle out characters. Look at Transformers for example. They always have Optimus Prime and Bumblebee (and those yellow robots that are basically Bumblebee).
If demand for the main 7 pets is high enough, they could sell more toys of them. Since this cartoon is the first to have the pets as characters since the Kenner/Sunbow LPS show from 1995, I think there's a good chance people will want to keep them around. Which is good because I think the characters are one of this show's strong points (besides Blythe and her worthless colleagues). They just need to be used for more than comic relief for Blythe.

I agree with youflamingidiots I think the show should have a sequel with just the pets.
It would make for a great story
also if they did a new LPS series it could be good but it could be really bad.
I mean I would give a new LPS a try but if it's just pure bad then whats the use of even making a new one?

It'll only work if they do something like Muppet Babies, or better yet, draw experience from something like Looney Tunes. It likely won't work, otherwise, but I think a show with the true stars (the pets) is what really needs to happen, if we're gonna do this at all... I, however, am beginning to agree with this consensus that this show does not really need human characters to bookend it (just to relate to an audience, which is likely why they were in the show to begin with, unfortunately for most of us...) if the pets are already human enough as characters to win and keep our attention for the narrative at play.
However, I just hope they don't try to be like that damn pony show - it's needs to be its own thing, not follow in something else's footsteps. That's how you truly know you're winning - when you're your own thing worth talking about.

OMG, Blythe's mother exists, maybe Blythe's mom can also talk to animals, that has been my theory from the beginning.
But hold on a second, before we jump to conclusion, the sentence has both Blythe and Mrs. Twombly in it, so perhaps by "her" mother's journal, it is Mrs. T's mother.
BTW prediction, the elderly woman's kindhearted granddaughters, that is the Biskit twins isn't it. More of the Biskit family, perhaps there is a good side in that family. Perhaps either the twins act totally different in front of their grandmother, or just eye of the beholder a grandmother sees good in her grand kids no mater what.

Um, actually "her" refers to Blythe because it states that she was too distracted by "her" mother's journal. Mrs. Twombly is perhaps on the other side for Blythe to help Mrs. T find her missing doorknobs. Well I hope you're right, I just find it too good to be true. Blythe's mom has a journel, perhaps she knows the secret to defeat Bill Cipher. So anyone agree with me, that the elderly woman in question in "Senior Day" that is the Biskits grandmother? I am sure of it, only question is it materinal or paterinal.
