This is more of a show headcanon as opposed to a character headcanon but anyway
Tabitha St. Germain was originally supposed to voice Zoe Trent when she found out that Zoe is the Rarity of Littlest Pet Shop but Nicole Oliver did better in the audition which is why she was picked to voice Zoe.

I don't really think so, they did probably think of doing some DIFFERENCES with LPS and MLP.

My Small Squirrel is a real actual show that exist in Downtown City but Shivers didn't want to tell Blythe about it or the fact that he's secretly a fan.

I thoughtI didn't really have one, but reading yours when penny said "Fisher is a self made man, he didn't inherit his forturne." I remembered that I actually said, and gave evidence for, essentially that on another thread. I very much do think that is true. I'm trying to think if I have any others.. I don't really feel I do.

Didn't know this thread existed until now. Here are some headcanons I came up with a while ago and posted on my Tumblr. It's pretty long.
1. Russell was an average hedgehog with a scientist owner who performed experiments on him and greatly raised his IQ. Now he’s capable of organizing, multi-tasking, and strives to become a genius as well as carry on the work of his owner.
2. Pepper grew up with a crowded family or has an owner that doesn’t make much time for her so she pursues comedy because laughter makes her happy and gets others to notice her.
3. Zoe’s dream is for the world to listen to and admire her, even though they can’t understand her because she’s a dog. She sings because she hopes someday someone important will notice her, she’ll become rich and famous, and be able to afford some sort of surgery to change her voice so everyone can understand her.
4. Penny Ling used to have a family in a far-off jungle but lost them to a fire. She was rescued by the man seen in the photo in the episode “Frenemies.” She does interpretive dance because the ribbons symbolize the spirit of her late family. Penny Ling is sweet and sensitive because she believes her family was punished by the fire and such a tragedy could happen again if she does not act properly.
5. Sunil is shy, cowardly, and timid because his owner is abusive/neglectful. His parents taught him to be strong and courageous in times of desperation through the concept of cobras since cobras and mongooses are natural enemies. Sunil’s stuffed cobra reminds him of his parents and their teachings so it gives him comfort. The mention of cobras instills overbearing rage so he can overcome his fears. Sunil practices magic because one day he hopes to perform the ultimate vanishing act and disappear from his owner’s household for good in an instant.
6. Minka has an extreme case of claustrophobia as a result of a childhood incident in which she was trapped in an enclosed space for an extended period of time. She paints because it allows her to escape from the enclosed spaces of the world around her and through a canvas, she sees a never-ending space to be explored. Minka’s claustrophobia is most evident in the episode “Dumb, Dumbwaiter.”
7. Vinnie fell and landed on his head as a toddler and suffered minor brain damage as a result. The injury messed up his coordination, hence why he tends to fall or crash when he dances. However, his mother taught him to never let the accident stand in the way of his dreams. Vinnie dances because deep down, it allows him to work towards overcoming his disability step-by-step and one day, he believes he will fully triumph over it.
8. Blythe’s parents filed a divorce shortly after Blythe was born because Roger felt their daughter needed to grow up in a better environment and for whatever reason, Mrs. Baxter wasn’t safe to be around. Blythe has no memory of her mom because she was a baby when her dad picked Blythe up and left. Roger never mentions his wife because there is some truth to her that he doesn’t want Blythe to know about.

Lots of pets in the land of LPS are legal. What do you mean Russell my friend?

Like, a Mongoose wouldn't be legal, but in LPS it is.

Russell is a closet ventriloquist.
Thank about it: All the pets have some artistic performing talent except for Russell. Turns out, he's a real good ventriloquist but is embarassed by it and thinks the other pets will find his puppets creepy.
EDIT: Also, I had a theory that Sunil really does have psychic abilities. I'm working on a fic where Sunil reveals that he can see and talk to ghosts. The reason he's so nervous all the time is because he's had a couple terrifying demonic encounters that gave him PTSD. Luckily, most spirits he sees are ghosts of benevolent pets. He often uses magic as a means to distract him from the fact that he sees ghost pets on a regular basis.

I am thinking what if there was love triangle centered on Blythe's mom between Roger and Fisher back in the day.
I thought of this great line, Fisher describes mom as "the one thing my wealth was never able to obtain." Doesn't that sound beautiful.
Of course there meeting in "Bakers and Fakers" which implies they never meet kind of destroys the theory.

I know I'm 10 years late, but I have a legit Little Pet Shop theory, and I just found this thread looking up other Littlest Pet Shop theories. I don't know if anybody will read this, but I'll like to get this out there.
First it is confirmed that there are people other than Blythe and here mother who can talk to animals. I know this because of the herbal medicine says on it's side effects that it makes you lose the ability to talk to pets, meaning there had to be others who could talk to pets beforehand who tried it and lost the ability to afterwards for the people who wrote the side effects to even know that it does that. And it can't be Blythe's mom that initially figured out the medicine did that either because she too only read that side effect that was already listed afterwards. There has to be somebody else, even before Blythe's mom, that was the original test subject for the herbal medicine. So I rewatched every single episode to try and figure out who. To my luck there is exactly one other character who not only is said to be able to talk to animals, but fits the timeline. Mrs.Twombly's ancestor. I believe Mrs. Twombly's ancestor was the original test subject for the herbal medicine that made them know that the medicine takes away your ability to talk to animals. There's more to it too. The medicine is herbal. Do you want to know what else is herbal? The cleaning product that Mrs.Twombly uses when she goes on an obsessed cleaning spree once a year. And she said that it's been passed down by her family friend's. I believe that the family she is referring to that gave Mrs.Twombly the cleaning product also invented the herbal medicine all those years back and like the cleaning product they also gave the herbal medicine to Mrs.Twombly's ancestor. I know it's a bit of a leap but the fact that they're both cleaning products seem very coincidental to me.
