Regarding "Tongue Tied"... I felt this could have been written a bit better than it was.
I kinda feel this episode (while not bad in any way) felt a bit off in overall quality... Russel and Zoe seemed like jerks here and Sunil (who was AWESOME at the end of this episode) would NOT have had to step in if such jerkiness behavior wasn't in play for them both. Then again, this usually is the result of getting caught up in their own fantasies too much for their own good, so it's not like it's inexcusable, just unfortunate. Also, Minka's confusing Korea with Iceland got pretty annoying to me after awhile (and made her look pretty stupid, IMHO, as well). And this is quite sad, as Minka NEEDS more good episodes to make her character stand out, especially after 2 whole seasons to do so!
Blythe was awesome enough and relatable here, indefinitely - though that opening song was pretty cheesy, at least Ingram is getting increasingly better at producing music for this show - that, and her situation was pretty understandable, what with not understanding pet of the week and all. I have to admire that that didn't stop her from being the problem solver I've come to respect her for being... Doesn't change the fact that this is yet another missed opportunity to let a close friend in on the secret and NOT feel like a loner in expression of her truly beautiful talent, despite how weird it is (that shouldn't matter if it's useful, now should it!).
Otherwise, this feels like a step down from last week, making it a Mid - High tier effort, overall - this new writer, FM DeMarco, still has a bit (if not a lot) to learn about the characters he's writing before I can truly feel comfortable with him on the team, IMHO...

"What's So Scary About The Jungle? Everything!"
Okay this is an okay episode. I wouldn't say season 3 hot streak is over, this is not a bad episode, iti just not great like the others have been. A possitive was Blythe and the pets doing stuff together, that should be the foucs, the pets and Blythe's abilites, all of that was used upon in this episode. I thought Penny Ling was adorable in this episode. I want to hug her. Everything she did or said was just adorable, how can not love her. Blythe's abilties was showcased again, forget about fashion and focues on that, Blythe has a great gift. I also this week's Blythe's style was great, I liked her look this week. I don't know why she has to hide abilities, talking to animals is an awesome abilites and you should be proud of it and not be embarassed by it.
I liked Sunshine Sweetness, who does her vocie? She sounds familar. The negative was the treatment of Vinnie and Sunil being punching bags. This writer can be mean spirted and you saw that here, especially the end joke was out of place and uncalled for.
We are one quarter into the season already, time flies and so far no Jasper. Perhaps this will be a Jasper free season.

Just checking in to voice my thoughts on "What's So Scary About The Jungle? Everything!", and in doing so, keep this thread active enough...
I'll admit it... Not as good as Sunil's Sick Day (easily William's best work on this show, PERIOD!), but not as terrible as I feared. I owe it thanks to how it ended. And despite being the typical misunderstanding plot, this was one of the better (I think calling it 'one of the best' is stretching it a little, it's still pretty early season to really get away with such statements.) uses of it, unlike in most of Season 1, IMHO...
So yeah, while I kinda feel this is Mid - High Tier material here, overall, seeing as I'm sure someone or another has been put in a bad situation like that (but not as exaggerated as here, I hope)... I'll consider this a High Tier episode, if only because this didn't end on a sour note, like I feared it would. That, and it helps that this WASN'T another unneeded slam on current generation media, like most episodes that tend to have these kinds of guests...
Then again, I feel Mid - High Tier is a good fit, considering who wrote this (and how mean spirited this really could have turned out in comparison to how it did; I can't I say I care that Sunil and Vinnie were treated like punching bags here, like some people may have felt, unfortunately.)... I usually dread ANYTHING by this writer (Merriwhether Williams) and hold her to such low expectations and standards, compared to everyone else, whether on this show or MLP.

Okay, now that I finally got a chance to watch this episode, here's my review.
I thought this episode was somewhat weakly written. It could've been done differently and more efficiently and instead just felt like a one long joke stretched out over 22 minutes with too many rather useless filler scenes. The general story is famous zoologist lady pays a visit to the pet shop, freaks out when she sees Penny Ling and it turns out she's afraid of both gorillas and pandas. Blythe discovers the reason why and helps Tess McSavage overcome her fears. A rather boring-sounding plot but it could've been helped if the events throughout the episode were laid out differently and if there were less useless scenes. The Wizard of Oz reference was a nice touch, but not too special.
I think this episode could've been done without involving gorillas at all, and although the pets do get plenty of screentime, the scenes with the guest character, a female gorilla named Sunshine Sweetness, kinda take away a little too much time from them. This episode would've been better handled if it was about Tess overcoming her fear of pandas only and if there were a different guest pet in a different kind of subplot.
Speaking of subplots, I also notice how this episode seems to lack one; the characters just simply split up and converge at different points throughout the episode. While I don't consider subplots to be essential for an LPS episode, this one probably could've used one because it felt kind of long and drawn-out for me. I would rather have two short, yet fully-formed plots than one stretched-out plot.
I thought Mrs. Twombly was crazy but wow, this Tess lady was just downright insane... I'm surprised a woman like her could even be famous. She came off to me as pretty creepy.
I did not like the ending scene at all... This episode could've really used a totally different epilogue. Instead we get Penny Ling explaining why she was brave enough to hug Sunshine, which I thought was weird enough; I know Penny Ling is sentimental but to just hug a random gorilla was weird even for her. But what really struck me was her saying something along the lines of "I just did what Sunil and Vinnie do...and then I did the opposite!" ...........Um...what? Sunil and Vinnie were right to be confused about that and why the hell were the other pets laughing? I'm sorry but that was a terrible way to end an episode...
I don't usually do this, but if I had to give this episode a score, I'd give it a 5/10. I don't consider it a bad episode, hell, I don't consider any LPS episode to be bad, but they could've done better with this one.

I liked Sunshine Sweetness, who does her vocie? She sounds familar. I'm pretty sure she's voiced by Kathleen Barr. She sounds a lot like Mrs. Twombly and she also sounds like Johnny Test's mom who was also voiced by Kathleen Barr.

Next week's episode is the one I am really looking forward to it. I am really excited about the premese, but it is resolved will make or break the episode. If it is resolved like I want to be , taking risks and develop characters, it will be one of my favorite epsiodes of the season if not the series. If it is resolved in the wrong one, the safe maintain status quo way, it will be one of my least favorite. They better not tease us with possible character development only for it to be a troll. I gurantee the next episode my feelings of it is not going to be meh it is okay. I am either going to love it or I am going to hate it. No middle ground.

Merriwhether Williams may have just set those of us paying attention for a huge fall, come next week and the week after that, knowing all of this... Unless the writers responsible bring their A - game and actually develop those stupid twins, it's going to be such a black eye or two for this season, and yet another of many for this series.
Hopefully, it isn't Williams doing it, that's a given.

I hope we get a song next episode. We haven't had a Biskit twin song all season. Not to mention we haven't had a Bltyhe / Biskits duel song at all in the series so far. "BFF" was them singing together that is not what I meant, what I meant is song like Roger and the Biskits in "Biskit Twin Rhapsody". Them singing at each other with different points of view, like a singing duel or arguement. You know what I mean? I love to see that.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing something like that in the show. I agree with you guys that the Biskits badly need some development. We're sick and tired of them just being generic rivals/bullies. Even their just goofing around is starting to get old.

... Well, I gues this episode did not bother me as it did to you, MethidMan. I thought it was a decent, one-plot episode, that made good use of the actual premise of the series, that Blythe can talk to animals. I don't understand what bad impression you got from Tess McSavage, other than the first impresion of her being scared of animals that it makes sense for her to be scared of given that incident.
They needed to be doing more of these types of episodes thruout season 2 tho, because too many S2 episodes where about Blythe and the pets having seperate adventures that often kind of both lame.

This episode rocked~ The plot concept alone really made this episode interesting and the guest pets were amazing to watch. The twin chinchillas and the Biskit twins made for a nice dynamic between the two pairs. I'll admit that I kinda groaned a little when I found out the chinchillas are basically furry versions of the Biskits, but the dilemma they were faced with immediately made me sympathise with them and it was very endearing watching them attempt to warm up to the Biskits in different ways. Speaking of different, it was also refreshing to see the Biskits having different opinions on something instead of always serving as each others' "me too"'s. I'm starting to like Brittany more.
We also had a couple of cool scenes such as the chinchillas' fantasy scene with the Biskits and the scene where the chinchillas chase around Vinnie in the school gym. Both were pretty fun to watch and really added to the episode.
The great thing about this episode is that you have pets in both plots. You have Penny-Ling and Vinnie along with the chinchillas in Blythe's plot, and you had the rest of the pets in the B plot. Speaking of the B plot, while it was a little less interesting than the main one, it was still nice to see Sunil try something new for a change. His constant failing to actually get paint on the canvas was a little too much exaggeration for my taste, but it was cute watching his attempts. I was hoping to see him actually paint something and it would've also been nice to see Minka attempt to do Sunil's schtick while he practiced hers, but it was nice to see them interact with each other for a change. Overall, nothing here that's enough to be a full-blown negative.
There was one thing I noticed, though... What's the butler guy doing with the Biskits again? Wasn't he fired at the end of season 2? I thought it kinda weird that this episode gave absolutely no explanation for his sudden return like nothing ever happened to him.
In any case, I was happy to see the Biskits finally decide to keep the chinchillas and I liked how Blythe's mentioning of seeing the chinchillas again hints that they'll be new additions to the cast. This episode marks the beginning of something I feel the Biskit twins desperately needed to give them some character development and I can safely say I'm looking forward to seeing their interactions with their new pets in future episodes. Well done, writers~

I freakin love this episode, loved it, loved it, loved it. 10 our of 10, and that is saying something because you know who finally returned, thought he was an extra, so maybe I will save my Jasper return gag for an episode when he actually has a line.
Anyway awesome, we saw great character development from Blythe, the Biskits, everyone. A couple of continuity grips like the Biskit butler being back, I guess they hired him perhaps his relationship with the Biskits is like Geroge Jetson relationship with Mr. Spacely. He gets fired and rehired all the time. We meet Velvet and Cashmere, as soon as I saw them and their hair, and their personality, and I repeat saw their hair, I know everything would turn out fine in the end. They are desinted to be with the Biskits. There is a saying called "they deserve each other" and this fits the bill perfectly. And this is the scond episode in a row when a animal surprised Blythe can understand, I thought it was establish that all the pets in downtown city know, a little continuity please. I guess you can excuse that, Sunshine was in the zoo, and who knows where Velvet and Cashmere were before this episode.
For those that mis Pound Puppies, this episode can fell that void, this does feel like a Pound Puppies episode, especially the part when Blythe offers to find Cashmere and Velvet find other owners, but they say no, they just know Whittany and Brittany are meant to be their owners, I have seen that many times on Pound Puppies, when the puppy of the week just knows who his or her perfect person is. I thought Penny and Vinnie were kind of underused, but they are supporting players in the plot. This more about Velvet and Cashmere, so that is okay I forgive the writers.
But I do feel the Sunil b plot was flat, perhaps they could have done without a b plot, I had no problem with the other pets not having a plot at all in "Some Assistance Required", it feeled forced in, and I love Sunil. Perhaps if they had a song, like the b plot in "Door Jammed" was also a weak plot when think about it, but it had a great song to make it seem better. Anyway I love this episode, I love how smart Blythe was using reverse psychology, Lucky would be pround. And she helped these 4 shallow people find each other, the Blythe in the beginning of the series wouldn't have done that. And the Biskits twins get some much needed character development, and I like Cashmere and Velvet, I thought they were hillarous just like their owners, and I like how the writer made the point clear Cashmere and Velvet didn't just want to be for the Biskits because of their wealth, that is part of it, but they like Whittney and Brittany, that seperates from the free loaders that go to the Biskits parties. I thought at the end when Blythe referred to Cashmere and Velvet as Cashmere and Velvet Biskit was a nice added touch.
I don't know if we will se Velvet and Cahsmere in next week's episode "Feud For Thought", but I am sure we will see them in "If The Shoe Fits". I thought they could have gone farther with Whittney and Brittany unsure of keeping Cashmere and Violet, perhaps we could have saw the chinchillas orphanage which is really a pound, and find out if no one buys them within a few days, they will put to sleep. And that could have been the final straw to melt Whittney and Brittany's heart, like what happen to Ralph in the Honeymooners episode "Every Dog Has His Day", which everyone should check out, it is a classic hillarous episode. So 10 out of 10, I loved this episode, I hope Blythe is right we haven't seen the last of Cashmere and Vilvet, I wonder what role they will play in the LPS vs LEPS feud, they are on team LEPS so in reguard to that storyline, they are techinically villains now, so add them to Tangier as antagaonist pets.

Regarding "Two Pets for Two Pests" - I'll consider this miracle like "Secret Cupet", if possible to call it that - as in... well, saying this: This episode wasn't as bad as "Inside Job", but Tom Minton is still a hack in my eyes after this. Simply because it still made me angry at the end of the day. At least Blythe (and the pets we come to see on a regular basis) was / were good in this - as she / they usually is / are!
Those twins, man - so worthless. I guess I only really like it when they suffer. Not enough of that here, IMHO - not like it would have made for a good episode, either, if done the way I wanted it (Nobody needs to see the way I wanted things done, either.).
So, it wasn't terrible - but I'm sure the writers are forgetting about it as much as I am (knowing that that butler is back for some reason - WHY is he back?)... We better not have to be putting up with them too much next week, as far as I'm concerned. Whatever good things may have happened here, any episode without those stupid twins is guaranteed to still be far superior to this going forward, IMHO.
I also agree with this quote from another fellow reviewer enough to side with them on the issue here: The one positive thing I can say about this episode is that the twins at least aren't just acting like total (something I can't type here)s and Blythe isn't just letting them walk all over her and continually screw her over with them while receiving no repercussions like before..... I don't like when jerks get rewarded for being jerks, as a generally positive person who believes in karma and all that good stuff that just doesn't sit right with me. In the words of Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz from The Big Bang Theory: "Being mean is lame; what's cool is being nice.".....
Those are, IMHO...Words to live by. ALWAYS.

One little nippig, I am disappointed no camero of Buttercream and Sugar Sprinkles. Just a cameo is all I ask, it makes sense for Youngmee to have them as her pets for pet appriciation day. Though we don't see Youngmee at all in the gym when all the pets were being presented. So I am going to assume off screen Youngmee was there somewhere in the far corner with Buttercream and Sugar Sprinkles. Though I am not sure what Sugar Srpinkles deal is, does she just live in the Sweets Delight truck and have no owner, I know Buttercream is Aunt Christy's pet, so yeah you would think at least Buttercream would be there.
If and when see Velvet and Cashmere again, I think their foils or nemesis should be Zoey and Pepper. I think those 4 would work as rivals. I could see personality clashes, especially with Zoey.
And what was with Francois winking at Blythe, is that suppose to mean he kind of knew what Blythe was up to? That is the interpretation I got, maybe he knows that having pets might be good for the Biskits, and despite them firing them, maybe deep down he does care. Of course I am reading to much into this, but I do think the wink meant he knew what Blythe was up to.
